Man is God...Dogma.

The meaning to existence is to find meaning, even if you fail well that’s the meaning to life. We all come up with our own theory of Meaning. The why we are here and what we should do or not do. Some turn to Dogma and God, others are too “smart” for that and turn to themselves and create a humanism that is beyond Dogma. I was thinking the other day of God and what not, and the Satanic theory that Man is God. Now that seems like a great idea and very humanistic, scientific even to a point I guess. But then I though wait humanity is a mess overall, we are gods. Now a person may claim that they are fully capable to be their own God, but are they that great to have others look to them as a god. I myself do not look at myself or any other human being as a god in any context. They may be free from dogma and myths from a religious past, but why through in the mix of the idea that man is god. Man is a curse. Humanity is really a disease, a problem that will take care of itself soon at best. I find Christians deluded by thinking there is a God, and I find Satanists deluded thinking they are God. Doesn’t the good book say man is just another animal? Regardless of freedom from Mysticism or anything, man is still an animal, selfish, debased and blind. Really we can’t even as a species obey our own selves, we may make great scientific progress but all to destroy humanity. I don’t bow to any one, especially myself for I know the fool I am, and the person that thinks they fit the cliché as a god mine as well return to dogma full fledged. Why not be an atheist really, if Satanists are atheists what all this talk of man is god? Oh! the dreaded need for dogma and drama. We are just animals, but as humans we can dress ourselves and play god. Ha.

Experience

I at times laugh at myself, for I study many systems and different philosophies. Now what makes me laugh at myself is when I become too involved in one of these systems and try to believe it and become an adherent of it. Now I have come to the conclusion that it really shouldn’t matter what I or another person chooses to believe or not. Really why should it? It should only matter if ones own freedom is brought into danger, but the matter of what freedom is ,is a completely other philosophical problem. I try to stay neutral in the many vast realms of materialism and mysticism. But yet I find myself longing for something, yet really we all desire escapism. Some choose to escape from everyday reality by denying it and becoming mystics, others become anti-mystical and use the term Materialist or something of that sort. When really the materialist has just as many rules and dogmas to follow to be one. What annoys me are Christians, but what also annoys me equally are their counter parts the Satanists. Both take themselves way too serious, it is very pathetic and amusing all in one. What bothers me is both are equally “pious” in their own way. The Christian is the bible thumper and has contempt for outsiders, and knows who are really Christians. Same with the Satanist they have their bible that they invoke, and contempt for outsiders and they know who are true Satanists and who are not. I mean LaVey Satanists, for other Satanists are not real Satanists and vice versa.
But I am guilty too and have no shame at my hypocrisy. I don’t mind the ranting of “Dr” LaVey or the now and then bible read. But I don’t want to be part of something. But now it seems that not being part of something is now considered Part of Something. The whole ideal of non-conformity is immature and romantic, its impossible to not conform to society in some way. (Note: the worse type of human being is really those god damned emo punks.) But it is all paradoxical, I conform in spite at times not as an end but as a means. For there is no end, or way out. For we are animals, plain and simple. As humans we need to create fantasy to make materialism bearable. Psychology is plain about how we work, but boring non the less. So lets add some spice and sparkle, as the Dr. says “ man needs Dogma” . I agree man seems to want to believe in something, even if its far fetched. We are ungrateful so we need to have a higher set of Order, a hidden realm. We are plagued with Gnostic ideas that we are trapped here, in our bodies. Man is its own worst enemy for man created religion and mysticism, what a stupid idea. But he created it to sedate the pain of animal life, the bare truth. I’m a Atheist but I can still have fun, fantasy and imagination can I not? Can’t religion be like a book that is read? Like when I was little and my little mind took over and took me to Neverland or whatnot. There should be nothing wrong with fantasy, as long as one comes back. For we all know what’s real. Mysticism is my entertainment, my muse, my friend, be it imaginary. When I listen to music I am carried away if I allow myself, same with mysticism, yet I know its all a sham. But I decide to pull the wool over my own eyes and see the results. As a researcher I don’t just take their word for it in books or lecture’s about a certain philosophy, Religion or mysticism, I try it out for myself….experience is everything.
